~ 8/18/10 - Claire co-hosts International Bluegrass Awards Press Conference to announce nominees for 2010 Bluegrass Music Awards
~ 8/18/10 - Claire receives three nominations for International Bluegrass Awards: "Song of the Year" - My Florida Sunshine by Bill Monroe, "Female Vocalist of the Year", and "Recorded Event of the Year" - That's What Makes You Strong with Jesse Winchester.
~ 9/1/10 - Claire Lynch Band is asked to appear on the International Bluegrass Music Awards Show (Thurs, Sept 30, 2010)
~ 9/5/10 - Great Day in the Mornin' takes #2 spot on the National Bluegrass Survey singles chart, Whatcha Gonna Do holds #2 spot on the album chart.

February and March
"My Florida Sunshine" - a Bill Monroe classic recorded by Claire on her new CD, Whatcha Gonna Do is #1 on the Bluegrass Music Profiles chart!

WHO: Claire Lynch
WHAT: GREAT 'GRASS: Lynch is the perfect mix of that famed trio Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton. She's got the interpretive skills of Ronstadt, the clear and pure voice of Harris and the bluegrass soul of Parton. She's received Grammy nominations for best bluegrass album and a female vocalist of the year award from the International Bluegrass Music Association in 1997, but she deserves all the accolades we can toss her way. Her latest album, "Crowd Favorites," is a compilation of the cream of her recent recorded output along with re-recordings of a few songs she did in her days with the Front Porch String Band. It's a fine starting point for those unfamiliar with Lynch's work.
