Greetings...
We have lots to report about the release of my newest CD (including a special debut on XM satellite radio) and more, so I hope you'll spend a few minutes with us.
New CD released October 9; order now!
My newest recording project, Crowd Favorites, was released on October 9th. I wish I could have had all of you in one spot for a photo: it would have definitely made the cover. (If you were at Brushy Creek Bluegrass Festival in Arley, AL circa 1981, perhaps you are on the cover: check it out!).
I do want to thank those of you who wrote and requested tunes for this collection. The CD has four new CLB recordings: favorites from the Front Porch String Band days, and ten classics from my Rounder catalog. Here's the song list:
I'm delighted to have these fan faves all in one place, and especially thrilled to present the first recordings of the current Claire Lynch Band: Missy and Jim, who are themselves "crowd favorites," and our great new band member, Jason Thomas.
If you'd like to order, just visit the store. And you'll also see that we have a sale on CLB t-shirts: 35% off!
XM Satellite Radio Debut Track by Track with Kyle Cantrell on Bluegrass Junction
Although the official CD release date is not until Oct. 9, XM Satellite Radio will debut Crowd Favorites this month on a show called "Track by Track", aired exclusively on Bluegrass Junction with Kyle Cantrell, on Track 14. Here are the air dates and times:
I had the privilege of sitting in the XM Studio with Kyle and discussing the songs one by one. Hope you don't miss!

Right after IBMA, we'll be back out on the road - the great state of Florida first - and then up the East Coast, back to Connecticut, New York and Virginia. Check out the October dates on our schedule page.
It feels great to be winding down from summer. For me, new songs are in the air, dropping from the trees like leaves. From Nashville, I wish you happy days as you embark on the next season and that anxiously-awaited cool fall breeze!
